What We Believe

At the heart of First Baptist Church of Wills Point is a shared faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to follow Him in everyday life. Our beliefs guide how we worship, how we care for others, and how we grow together as a church family.

God

We affirm that there is one true and living God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, united as one in nature, essence, and being. He is the personal and sovereign Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.

Fellowship and Community

We are committed to building strong personal, family, and staff relationships marked by integrity, shared accountability, servant hearts, encouragement, and genuine care for one another.

Authority of Scripture

We hold the Bible as the foundation for all we believe, teach, and practice, and we are devoted to preaching and teaching God’s Word faithfully.

Life Transformation

We seek to help every believer grow in spiritual maturity and develop a biblical worldview that shapes how they live, work, and engage the world around them.

Worship

We desire to honor God through sincere and passionate worship as individuals, families, and as a church body.

Every Member Ministry

We are committed to equipping and developing leaders who serve faithfully and invest in training and mentoring others for ministry.

Prayer

We are devoted to setting aside intentional time for personal, family, and corporate prayer, seeking God’s guidance and strength in all things.

Personal Evangelism and Missions

We are called to share the message of salvation with people of every background, both in our community and around the world.

Family

We affirm the lifelong commitment of marriage between one man and one woman, support the spiritual growth of the family, and seek to honor the importance of family time in all our ministries.

Stewardship

We encourage every believer to live as faithful stewards who recognize God’s ownership of all things and practice biblical giving in support of the work of the church.
