If you’re new here (or you’re thinking about visiting and doing the classic “sit in the back and sneak out” move), let me put you at ease: you’re welcome. Not “welcome once you get your life together”… welcome as you are. There is a God in heaven who loves you and wants a relationship with you—and we’d be honored to meet you right where you are.
My story is really a story of God’s grace. As a boy, I came to the clear realization that I was a sinner in need of salvation through Jesus Christ, and I was saved and baptized at Sand Flat Baptist Church in Grand Saline, Texas. From that moment on, the Lord has kept drawing me closer and confirming His call on my life to shepherd His people through the preaching and teaching of His Word.
The heartbeat of my ministry is easy to remember (and hard to forget): Exalt the Savior, Equip the Saint, and Evangelize the sinner. Jesus stays at the center, the Bible stays open, and the gospel stays on our lips—with both truth and kindness.
When I preach, I’m a verse-by-verse guy—with pastoral, real-life application—because God’s Word isn’t just something to admire… It’s something to live. And Sundays are our main “front door,” so my goal every week is simple: you walk in, you’re loved well, you hear God’s Word clearly, and you leave encouraged that God isn’t finished with you.
I’m a graduate of Texas A&M University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and I’m still learning every day what it looks like to follow Jesus with joy and faithfulness.
I’m also a family man. My wife, Mandy, and I have been married since 2010, and the Lord has blessed us with four sons—Christian, Shepherd, Bishop, and Kingston—which means our house is rarely quiet and never boring (in the best way). When I’m not at church, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, reading, running, or enjoying the outdoors.
